Refund and Returns Policy

Introduction At FireOfRoots, we stand by the quality of our gear. However, we understand that sometimes an item may not be the right fit for your loadout. As we deal with specialized equipment, including blades and flammable compounds, strict safety and legal protocols apply to all returns.

1. Return Period In accordance with UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have the right to cancel your order or request a return within 14 days of receiving your goods. You must notify us of your intent to return within this timeframe. Once notified, you have a further 14 days to send the goods back to us.

2. Eligibility for Returns To be eligible for a refund, your item must be in the exact condition you received it:

Unused: Blades must not show any signs of use, sharpening, or testing. Ferro rods must not be struck (no scraped coating).

Sealed: Chemical items (such as Prometheus Paste) and tins must remain unopened and fully sealed for safety reasons.

Packaging: The item must be in its original packaging with all tags and accessories included.
We strictly do not accept returns on used gear. If an item is returned to us used, damaged, or altered, no refund will be issued, and the item will be returned to you at your expense.

3. Return Shipping Costs

Change of Mind: If you decide you no longer want the item, you are responsible for the cost of return shipping. We strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

Faulty/Damaged Goods: If the item arrived damaged or developed a fault, FireOfRoots will cover the return shipping costs after verifying the issue (photo evidence may be required).

4. Age Verification & Delivery Failures For Age Restricted items (Blades, Flammable Pastes): If a delivery attempt fails because you could not provide valid ID proving you are over 18, or if the package is returned to us by the carrier due to failed age verification:

We will refund the cost of the item.

We will NOT refund the original shipping cost.

A handling/restocking fee of £5.00 may be deducted to cover administrative costs and return logistics.
5. How to Initiate a Return To start a return, you can contact us at: info@fireofroots.co.uk Please include your Order Number and the reason for the return. If your return is accepted, we will send you instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

6. Refunds We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.
