[expand]The geometric repertoire included recurring motifs with established meanings:

The diamond shapes represented feminine cosmic forces—the four-pointed form suggested womb or earth, the female associations made diamonds appropriate for women’s objects, the gender symbolism was cosmological classification. The diamond was feminine geometry.

The triangular patterns encoded various concepts—pointing upward suggested masculine celestial forces, downward triangles indicated feminine earth powers, the directional orientation affected meaning. The triangles were gendered directional symbols.

The zigzag lines represented water, lightning, or energy flow—the angular path suggested dynamic forces, the zigzag pattern appeared on objects associated with transformation or power, the angular form was motion representation. The zigzag was energy visualization.

The concentric rectangles or squares created protective frames—nested geometric forms established boundaries, the layered structure suggested defensive depth, the framing patterns enclosed and protected central elements. The rectangles were boundary definitions.

The cross-hatching filled spaces with protective density—intersecting lines created visual complexity, the pattern density supposedly confused evil spirits, the filled areas were defensive thickness. The hatching was protective layering.
